Though Embracer has yet to say anything publicly about the long-awaited game, CEO Lars Wingefors did mention it briefly in the company’s recent investor Q&A session. Some now believe his indirect statements hint that the game may release in the 2023 fiscal year, which closes on 31st March, 2023. “People have sort of written off [Dead Island 2], not knowing if it’s still alive. Irdeto today published a press release about its Nintendo Switch Emulator Protection solution, as a call to developers and publishers who may be interested in including it with their games. In its statement, Irdeto targets not only first-party and second-party Switch games, but ports of PC games too. “Nintendo consoles have long suffered from piracy issues and the Switch is no different,” the company wrote. “Even if a game is protected against piracy on its PC version, the released version on Switch can be emulated from day one and played on PC, therefore bypassing the strong protections offered on the PC version....

Following a successful start on Steam that saw over 160,000 players embracing the chaos of Dying Light 2’s zombie infested Villedor, reports of numerous game breaking bugs have started making the rounds online. Thankfully, Techland has announced a hefty list of hotfixes that will address many of these concerns. Some are due to be implemented over the coming days, while others will require some more work before they are ready to be rolled out....

Malcolm Reynolds has already caused issues in Dark Souls 3 and Dark Souls Remastered, and now he’s at it again in Elden Ring. Not only does he invade a player’s game and kill them through powerful spells (a totally legitimate game mechanic), his spells are hacked to imbue their inventory with an invalid item that results in a softban by FromSoftware. That item is a debug item called ‘pavel’ that’s in the game’s code but not the game itself....

Appearing as a ray of light above a mound of soil, a Lost Grace that is touched transforms into a Site of Grace. These act as checkpoints where you can respawn upon death, level up, upgrade flasks with Golden Seeds and Sacred Tears, mix Wondrous Physick, memorise spells and other options. Some Sites of Grace will also emit rays pointing you towards the critical path - useful if you don’t want to follow a walkthrough....
